Conservancy Place

Vierbicher provided planning, surveying, platting, engineering and construction services for this 640 acre highly integrated mixed-use community. Located along 3.5 miles of the Yahara River in the Village of DeForest, this development is designed to allow residents to live, work, play, learn and have access to services fulfilling daily needs. A balanced mix of business, residential and educational facilities will provide a full range of business and housing types.

This development includes five separate plats; Woods Glen, The Knolls, Hawthorne Point, River’s Turn, and Innovation Springs. These plats are located throughout the winding environmental corridor and are connected with a well designed street network and walking paths. The Open Space system within Conservancy Place features approximately 245 acres of environmental preserve that includes the winding Yahara River. A wide array of parks will be located throughout the development, featuring both active and passive recreation.

Stormwater management is an important component of Conservancy Place. The latest best management practices will be implemented to reduce the pollutant loads and protect the Yahara River ecosystem. The integrated system will provide both functional and aesthetic benefits.
