Vierbicher assisted the Ho-Chunk Nation BIA Roads Department with a Long Range Transportation Master Plan. The plan includes identification of short, mid, and long term goals related to roads, trails and transit services. The project included creation of route maps for the Indian Reservation Road Inventory (IRR). The road inventory covers four states for the Ho-Chunk Nation. Vierbicher utilized information from tribal departments to forecast future transportation improvements to serve business enterprises, housing developments and cultural sites. A fully integrated GIS inventory of roadways and IRR data was developed for the Ho-Chunk Nation along with a long range transportation plan that included input from tribal departments and Ho-Chunk members. The plan prioritized future transportation improvements, as a result the Ho-Chunk Nation increased transportation funding from $2 to $6 million.
