In 2021, the City of Baraboo made a concerted effort to address their housing shortage. They were encountering a lack of supply, escalating rental prices, and unobtainable home prices for many. A housing study was commissioned to help define the demand. The findings showed a need of 450 new units per year, with a mix of single-family, multi-family, and rentals.
The Greenfield Estates – Baraboo Apartment Complex is located on the east side of the City of Baraboo. Pelton Builders was able to provide the city with a mix of housing – entry level, workforce, and senior – to accommodate their growing housing needs.
Pelton Builders will develop a total of 112 apartments, 61 houses, and 32 duplexes to assist the City of Baraboo.
