Project Description

The Rocky Bluff neighborhood is a desirable place to live and work within the City of Madison. With established homes and tree-lined streets, and in close proximity to both downtown and the west side, the area has seen a surge of private investment and redevelopment.

The Quarry Shoppes & Apartments is located on the bustling University Avenue corridor. The 1.0-acre site provides 10,600 SF of commercial space, 39 apartments, and 8-unit townhomes. The mixed-use development is divided into multiple areas that establish a strong street edge along the University Avenue corridor, but transitions to the quieter residential neighborhood to the south. The interior courtyard provides a protected area for safe vehicle, pedestrian, and bicycle activity.

Vierbicher provided site design, civil engineering, land surveying, stormwater management, and municipal permitting for this project.
